Three artists were looking for an original and new way to draw attention to various issues and bring them into the public eye. Eventually, they managed to express this in an extraordinary way.
The project [RE]CLAMED ARTSPACE, wherein this took form, has been under cover for a year and made itself known since December 2022 by means of a publication and manifesto, February 01, ’23 during a presentation in De Stadkamer and April 13 during a theme night of the Philosophical Cafe Zwolle.
Especially for this occasion, they: Marit Otto, Corine Aalvanger and Herbert Alfonso, have made a visual summary. This socially engaged multimedia art project is partly about reclaiming art in public space but at the same time it touches on all kinds of ethical issues of today.
