The educational art project is inspired by and named after the art installation Remains Of Today – commissioned, and with the students of SVO Dunk Groningen. A project over a period of several months. Making waste barrels into artistic objects using waste as a basic material to work with. Most of the waste was found and collected on the grounds of the Sugar Factory. We started there also with a small club and ended with a group in a different composition also on the Sugar grounds. In between, we worked for several weeks at the school itself.
Artistry, cooperation and awareness were at the heart of this project. I really enjoyed the students and their total individuality!
REMAINS OF TODAY at school Het educatieve kunst project is geïnspireerd op en vernoemd naar de kunstinstallatie Remains Of Today – in opdracht, en met de leerlingen van SVO Dunk Groningen. Een project over een periode van een aantal maanden. Afvaltonnen tot kunstzinnige objecten maken met afval als basis materiaal om mee te werken. Het afval is grotendeels gevonden en verzameld op het terrein van de Suikerfabriek. We zijn daar ook met een klein clubje gestart en met een groep in andere samenstelling ook weer geëindigd op het Suikerterrein. Tussendoor hebben we een aantal weken op de school zelf gewerkt.
Kunstzinnigheid, samenwerken en bewustzijn stonden centraal tijdens dit project. Ik heb erg genoten van de leerlingen en hun totale eigenheid!
